Liebe Freund*innen der Køpi,

helft uns, eine laute Botschaft an die Regierenden zu senden: Hände weg von unserem Zuhause! Berlin unterstützt den Køpiplatz!

Schickt ein Bild eurer Hände oder einfach eine Nachricht an Senator Andreas Geisel oder den Regierenden Bürgermeister von Berlin, Michael Müller. Leitet diese Nachricht an eure Freund*innen, Familie, Kolleg*innen und andere Menschen in eurem Umfeld weiter. Fragt uns nach Plakaten zum Aufhängen euren Fenstern oder nach Postkarten zum Verschicken an den Senat.

Am 10. Juni 2021 verlor der Køpi Wagenplatz den Prozess gegen eine Briefkastenfirma der SANUS AG, die dem berüchtigten, wegen Urkundenfälschung und Steuerhinterziehung bekannten, Siegfried Nehls gehört.

Der Køpi Wagenplatz wird gegen das Gerichtsurteil zur Räumung Berufung einlegen, aber der Eigentümer könnte die Räumung jederzeit vorher beantragen. Der Senator Andreas Geisel hat die Befugnis, die Polizei zur Räumung des Wagenplatzes anzufordern. Wir fordern ihn und andere Senator*innen der Stadt Berlin weiterhin auf, alternative Lösungen zu einer Räumung zu finden.

Wir wollen diesen Politiker*innen zeigen, dass die Køpi breite Unterstützung von einer vielfältigen Öffentlichkeit innerhalb und außerhalb Berlins hat. Wir wollen sie daran erinnern, dass viele Menschen es Leid sind, dass Gentrifizierungs- und Spekulationsprojekte den Profit über die Menschen stellen und ihnen ihre Kieze nehmen. Wir wollen, dass die Politiker*innen wissen, dass viele Menschen denken, dass Orte der Gegenkultur wie die Køpi wichtig sind, dass sie ein Teil von Berlin sind. Dass viele Menschen empört sind, dass es allein im letzten Jahr weltweit schon viel zu viele Räumungen solcher Orte gegeben hat. Genug ist Genug!

Help us send a a loud message to those in power: Hands off our homes! Berlin supports Køpiplatz!

Send a picture of your hands, or just a message, to senator Andreas Geisel or the Mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller. Forward this message to your friends, family, colleagues and other people in your network. Ask us for posters to hang in your window or for postcards to send to the senate.

On the 10th June 2021 Køpi Wagenplatz lost the court case against a letterbox sub-company of SANUS AG, owned by the notorious figured, known for document forgery and tax-evasion, Siegfried Nehls.

Køpi Wagenplatz will appeal the court decision to evict Køpi Wagenplatz but the owner could request the eviction anytime beforehand. The senator Andreas Geisel has the authority to order the police to evict the Wagenplatz. We continue to urge him and other senators of the city of Berlin to come up with alternative solutions to an eviction.

We want to show these politicians that Køpi has widespread support from a diverse public inside and outside of Berlin. We want to remind them that many people are tired of gentrification and speculation projects putting profit before people and making their neighbourhoods unrecognizable. We want politicians to know that many people think that counter-culture places like Køpi are important, that they are part of Berlin. That many people are outraged that during last year alone in a global pandemic, there have been already far too many evictions of such places. Enough is Enough!

Stop gentrification and speculation! Stop the eviction of Køpiplatz! Stop all evictions!
