The refugee crisis in Poland has been ongoing since August 2021. The
situation is extremely worrisome, especially on the Polish-Belarusian
border. Most of those in need come from Yemen, Syria, Central and North
Africa, and India. They are often severely exhausted, some of them
require immediate hospitalization. The mental and physical condition of
activists who help them is also alarmingly serious – constant checks and
harassment by border guards make the delivery of humanitarian aid very
long, and sometimes even impossible.
The main purpose of this event is to express our opposition to the
brutally enforced idea of national borders, in favour of the idea of
international community. The Berlin edition of the series, which has
already taken place in several Polish cities, aims to support people in
the refugee crisis and no-border movements, providing help to refugees
from the Polish border with Belarus and Ukraine.
